'고등교육'에 나타난 북한의 의학교육 현황 분석

Abstract

(국문)
이 연구의 목적은 북한 교육 문헌인 '고등교육'을 통해 북한 의학교육의 현황을 분석하고 최근 변화하는 북한의 고등교육 정책의 흐름과 교육환경 개선방안이 의학 교육과정에 적용되는 현황을 살펴보는 것이다. 이를 위해 이 연구는 '고등교육' 게재 글 중 의학 관련 글을 추출하여, 북한의 의학교육기관, 교수방법, 교수수단에 대한 현황을 파악한다. 이 연구의 결과, 분석된 북한 의학교육 현황의 특징을 정리하면, 첫째, 북한의 의학교육기관이 최근의 고등교육 정책에 따라 지역별 종합대학으로 통합·개편되고 있는 구체적 현황이 분석된다. 둘째, 북한 의학교육의 교수방법 파악을 통해 최근 북한의 창조적, 실천적 인재양성을 강조하는 교육 정책이 의학교육 분야에서 확인된다. 셋째, 북한 의학교육에서의 정치사상학과목과 외국어학과목의 교수방법이 다양하게 제시되고 있음이 분석되고, 이를 통해 북한에서 2000년대 이후 지속적으로 강조되고 있는 정치사상과 외국어 학습의 강조 정책이 의학교육에서도 확인된다. 넷째, 의학교육에서 컴퓨터 기반 교수수단과 실습 기자재 등을 활용하는 현황을 분석함으로써 고난의 행군 이후 침체되어 있는 교육환경에 대응해 학생들의 의학실천능력을 제고하려는 북한 의학교육의 개선방안이 분석된다. 이 연구는 북한 발간 문헌을 통해 최근의 북한 의학교육 현황을 분석한 기초연구로서 향후 대북 보건의료 지원과 남북 보건의료 연구개발 및 협력을 준비하는 기초·현황자료로서 활용될 수 있다.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the current state of North Korean medical education through educational magazine Higher Education issued in North Korea, and to investigate recent situations where higher education policy in North Korea is being applied to medical education. 
As a result of this research, the characteristics of the current state of North Korean medical education can be summarized as follows: First, it is analyzed that North Korean medical colleges are integrated and reorganized into regional universities based on recent higher education policies. Secondly, teaching method of North Korean medical education is a reflection of recent educational policy that emphasizes developing creative and practical human resources. Thirdly, various political subjects and teaching methods of foreign language has been observed in North Korean medical courses. This reflects the educational policy of political thought and foreign language which has continuously been emphasized since the 2000’s. Fourthly, by analyzing the situation using computer-based teaching methods and medical training equipment in medical education, we can confirm the countermeasures to enhance students’ practical capacity overcoming the poor healthcare environment. 
As a basic study which analyzed current states of North Korean medical education through North Korean literature, this study can be utilized for Inter-Korean medical research and cooperation.
